Popup Dialog Appears When Kerberos SSO is Attempted


A popup dialogue appears in the browser when attempting Kerberos SSO to the PortalGuard website.


Update the root 'web.config' file for the PortalGuard Website.

  1. On the PortalGuard server, navigate to C:\inetpub\PortalGuard
  2. Locate the 'web.config' file and edit the file in an administrative text editor
    • We recommend Notepad++
  3. Locate the following section, which should be located after the <modules> section of the file:
    • Kerberos Popup - Web Config Resolution
  4. Uncomment the <handlers> section by removing the <!-- characters from the beginning of the section (line 70 in the screenshot example), as well as the --> characters from the end of the section (line 74 in the screenshot example).  The final result will resemble the following:
    • Kerberos Popup - Web Config Resolution
  5. Save the changes to the file.
  6. Test Kerberos to the PortalGuard website once again
